STL was appointed to design and deliver a fully purpose-built spraybooth facility as part of a customer’s move from an ageing site into a newly constructed depot.
The customer required a spraybooth partner capable of working collaboratively with the main building contractor to ensure the new facility was engineered correctly from the outset, supporting long-term operational efficiency, flexibility, and future growth.
The challenge
The project required a multi-functional finishing environment capable of supporting several workstreams within a single cohesive layout, including:
Full trailer repaints
Tractor unit resprays
Off-vehicle panel repair and repainting

Building service clashes that required rapid redesign and adaptation
The need to maximise usable workshop space through roof-mounted plant design
The final solution needed to balance operational flexibility, spatial efficiency, and long-term usability within the constraints of a new-build environment.
The solution
STL engineered and delivered a fully integrated spraybooth facility tailored to the customer’s new depot and operational requirements.
The installation included:
An 18m × 5.5m × 5m split commercial spraybooth equipped with WallMan pneumatic access platforms
A 7m × 5m × 3m rear-wall extract LCV/panel booth for smaller refinishing work
A dedicated paint mixing room designed to serve both booths efficiently
The overall layout was carefully developed to support simultaneous workstreams, while roof-mounted plant ensured maximum floor space remained available for preparation and vehicle movement.
