We designed and installed a bespoke spraybooth system for agricultural machinery, increasing production capacity while maintaining high-quality finishes. The new facility replicates the client’s proven “hanging” functionality and integrates seamlessly with the wider manufacturing workflow, creating a professional, efficient workspace that the customer is proud to showcase.
Project overview
As part of a major investment in its future, the customer developed a new purpose-built production facility. The site was designed to support increased output and improve overall manufacturing standards, incorporating a modern paint shop and shot blast area.
A key requirement was ensuring the finishing process aligned with the upgraded environment while maintaining the methods the team already relied on.
The challenge
The customer had been using an existing spraybooth for over 20 years, which featured a “hanging” system for coating components. This approach was central to their workflow and the quality of finish they achieved.
Replicating this functionality within a new, larger-scale setup presented a challenge. The solution needed to support higher throughput while preserving a familiar working method. At the same time, the system had to integrate smoothly into the new facility and complement surrounding processes such as shot blasting and paint preparation.
Balancing performance improvements with continuity was critical to the project’s success.
The solution
A bespoke spraybooth system was designed to meet these requirements, combining proven functionality with modern performance.
The installation included two 12m x 5m x 4.5m side-extract, down-draft spraybooths, alongside an interlinked paint mixing room to support efficient preparation. The layout was carefully planned to allow a logical flow of components through each stage of the finishing process.
Particular attention was given to airflow design and booth configuration to ensure consistent coating results, while accommodating the customer’s preferred methods.
