Fairline Yachts required additional finishing capacity within their high-quality interiors department to support increased production demand. The objective was to introduce new spray booth facilities that would enhance throughput while maintaining the exceptional finish standards associated with the Fairline brand.
The challenge
The project site presented two significant constraints. The available area had a limited gas supply, restricting traditional heating options, and tight roof space, limiting the height and configuration of any new spray booth installation.
These factors required a carefully engineered solution that could deliver the necessary airflow, temperature control, and drying performance without overloading site utilities or exceeding physical space limitations.
The solution
A bespoke double spray booth with rear wall extraction was designed to maximise productivity within the available footprint. To support the specific coatings and finishes used in Fairline’s interiors, an enhanced drying process was required. A dedicated drying room was therefore incorporated into the solution, allowing components to cure efficiently and ensuring production flow was maintained.
The overall system was engineered to operate effectively within the site’s utility constraints while delivering consistent, high-quality finishing results.

Installation highlights
Installation was carried out within an operational manufacturing facility, with access limitations presenting a key logistical challenge. All spray booth components were successfully transported using a small internal service lift, requiring careful planning and sequencing to ensure a smooth and efficient installation without disrupting ongoing production activities.
